Sara Segerlin is a Master of Fine Arts candidate in Visual Studies for film and video at the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester. She is also an instructor in video production at SUNY Brockport. Sara received her BA in Journalism and Communication at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania (2004). While at Lock Haven she produced an award-winning documentary film, and she was voted Outstanding Journalism and Communication student. Sara creates film, video, and art installations that express visual poetry and metaphors about identity, self-discovery, and our relationship with the earth. She is very involved in experimentation with the camera to capture unique movements and rhythms of dancers, nature, and of herself as a performer. Sara resides in Rochester and coaches gymnastics in Webster.
