Fractured investigates how two relationships may begin on the same path, but through different choices, each relationship faces different consequences. Fractured is an extension of Ferris’s previous IMS project, the alley, which dealt with a rape victim’s memories of the assault. Fractured explores the effect of the assault on the victim’s relationships. The work features a quintet of dancers and an electric guitarist with ambisonic sound processing.
