KRISTI FAULKNER

Kristi Faulkner attends SUNY Brockport and is working on her MFA in Dance Choreography and Performance. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a BS in Dance Performance and a BAC in Theatre, Acting/Directing. Recent projects include a performance with Morrison Dance of Cleveland, Ohio in collaboration with NASA for the Ingenuity Festival and Something to Talk About – an evening length work incorporating dance and theatre that Kristi conceived and produced. In 2005, Kristi served as the Assistant Director of the East Central Region American College Dance Festival. She has worked with the First Steps program through the Toledo Ballet, using creative movement lessons for kindergarteners in an effort to promote literacy. She also teaches at Trollwood Performing Arts School in Fargo, North Dakota – an outdoor summer arts program that draws upon nature as a source of creative inspiration. Kristi is vice-chair of the SUNY Brockport student chapter of the National Dance Education Association and is also the concert coordinator for the dance department.
