SUSANNAH NEWMAN

Susannah Newman is a co-founder of the IMS festival and an emeritus professor of SUNY Brockport’s Department of Dance. As an independent artist, she is busy producing one new screen dance yearly, working as advisor to Dance Films Association, NYC, teaching “Action Workshops” on choreography for the camera, and directing her company, MAP (the Media & Performance Collective) whose mission is to create politically and socially relevant work.
