TOM LIGHTFOOT

Tom Lightfoot is the chairman of the Fine Arts Studio Program in the School of Art at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He teaches painting, drawing, and new forms, which encompass art forms outside the traditional fine art media. He has a BFA in Painting and a BA in Biology from the University of Connecticut, an MFA in Painting from Instituto Allende in Mexico, art teacher certification in Connecticut through the Hartford Art School, an MAEd in Art Education and an EdD in the College Teaching of Studio Art both from Teachers College, Columbia University. Tom taught at various colleges and universities in Connecticut, Colorado, and New York before coming to RIT in 1988. Recently, his work was in The Digital Invitational at gallery blue on Alexander Street, a one-person show at Gallery r on Park Avenue, annual Print Club of Rochester shows, and faculty shows at RIT. Presently, his work is on display at the Artisan’s Loft in Pultneyville, New York.
